Welcome to the Cuero Pecan House – your one stop shop for delicious homemade treats and of course featuring the Texas state nut, the pecan. Our friendly staff is here to assist you in finding the perfect treat for yourself or a gift for another.
A little more about us - The Pecan House opened their doors in the 1960 by J. F. Elder and was primarily a seasonal operation. In 2003 we (Annette and Erwin Rath) decided to expand to stay open year round and expanded our offerings. And, our tasty specialty products, as well as our fresh pecans, have been keeping the locals (and the visitors to town) quite happy!
Featuring freshly seasoned pecans, as well as cakes, cookies, pies, gourmet-to-go casseroles, gift baskets, local jams, pecan oil and other area specialties, we think and hope you agree that it’s truly a slice of heaven located in the heart of downtown Cuero.

Well, as Annette and I see it, Cuero has a lot to offer, from unique boutiques, a kitchen gadget store, antique shopping and our Cool little pecan store with handmade candies, pies and cookies. We also carry pecan oil, JR,s seasoning Absolutely Wild BBQ sauces and much more for that perfect gift or for your own enjoyment. 1 bunch scallions chopped fine
2 medium potatoes cooked and diced
Salt, pepper and Paprika
Little olive oil
Cook the diced potatoes in a skillet in a little oil
Remove and then cook the scallions till tender
Season the eggs with the salt, pepper and paprika and beat well in a bowl
Add the potatoes back to the pan with the scallions and add the beaten egg mixture
Stir well over the heat until it starts to set
Carefully slide off onto a plate and flip back into the pan to finish cooking
Slide back onto the plate and cut into portions
